Bayhem!

I'm not a movie expert of any kind. I like to see movies and I'm drawn to blockbusters, always. I like to relax and have a good time, see some explosions, laugh a bit and I'm happy. I see movies as entertainment as well as art. But I'll go to the movie theatre to see entertainment. I realised there is a lot of criticism to Michael Bay and his movies. And I get it, I really do. But since I like Transformers so much, I just see the movie for the bots. And I mean for the 3D, for the artists that brought them to life. I want to see the details of the animations in a big screen. So, I'm not a Michael Bay fan. I'm a Visual Effects / Animation fan. But, here's a video of the breakdown of Michael Bay's shots by Tony Zhou from Every Frame A Painting.

New still from Transformers 4!

A new still was released today from the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction movie, as well as a teaser video.

Whaaaa...? As a fan of Transformers since I can remember, and even liking all three last movies that Michael Bay gave the world... the hell is this? Dinobots? Huh? It's a teaser and deprived of context, of course, but even so... It's... odd? Weird? A bucket of wtf? I guess we have to wait to see more...

Transformers 4: some makeover you got there!

Transformers 4 won't be out until the 29th June 2014, but there's something to be happy about. This movie won't be a reboot, like Michael Bay previously said, but the bots will have a slight... makeover. The story will be set 4 years from Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The cast includes Mark Wahlberg, as previously stated, plus Jack Reynor and Li Bingbing.

This is the Hound, "one of the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles from Oshkosh Defense". In the animated series, Hound used his ability to capture and project holographic imagery on a series of dinosaur fossils, which led to the creation of Dinobots named Grimlock, Slag, and Sludge. A sign? Or nothing at all?

Awww! How I've missed Bumblebee! This is his new face! Let's hope the personality stays intact.

Optimus Prime is back too, and in style!

This Chevrolet Corvette Stingray could be anyone... But the plausible options would be Sideswipe or Slingshot. For now, we know the car is in the movie. For which bot, we'll have to wait.

This awesome Buggatti (worth $2.4 million...) is another one of the mystery bots... On Buzzfeed, they speculate it could be Drift or Hot Rod.

Yes, I'm excited. And anxious to see the VFX breakdown on this one...

Transformers will be back!

Well, we all knew a new Transformers film was coming. Today, Michael Bay confirmed that Transformers 4 will come out June 27th, 2014 with Mark Wahlberg. There were rumors that Wahlberg would participate in this movie, but at the time, Bay insisted it wasn't true. People were confusing another project, Pain and Gain, in which Mark Wahlberg has one of the lead roles. Time changes things, and now it's official. No word about the storyline for now. Still remains as a rumor also. Since Transformers: Dark of the Moon  made some kind of closure in the original storyline, we just have to wait to see what will come next. Although we should expect Optimus Prime and Bumblebee to return. Those bots are always welcome!
